Gift Wrapping for Any Occasion

One of my favorite Stampin’ Up! products are the Kraft Gift Boxes. I use them year-round to wrap presents because they are so versatile.

In my family we have many birthdays in the month of February. I’m giving this box to my sister for her birthday, but the design could also be used for Valentine’s Day.

To make the gold polka dots on the box, I used a new standard pencil eraser and stamped all over the box using VersaMark ink. I then embossed the dots using Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool. The belly band was made using lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kit, Early Espresso Baker’s Twine, Very Vanilla Cardstock, Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set (from Sale-a-Bration), Primrose Petals Classic Stampin’ Pad, Small Heart Punch, and a Creped Filter Paper flower (see the video tutorial on the Jan. 13 blog post) spritzed using a mixture of Pool Party Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill and rubbing alcohol.

The card and envelope were made using the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set, Pool Party and Primrose Petals Classic Stampin’ Pads, White Vellum Cardstock, Small Heart Punch, Finishing Touches Edgelits Die, and a sewing machine. I made the card and envelope the right size to place on top of the gift inside the box. I think it always looks nice if the inside of your package coordinates with the outside in some way.
