I was sitting at my desk trying to think of something fun I could show for my blog post. Since my desk is constantly covered in product, I had some kraft boxes sitting out from a recent project. This is what I came up with, and I LOVE it!
I love how on the outside, it’s cute . . .
Then when you open it, you have a pleasant, colorful surprise waiting!
It’s super easy to do, too. For the outside I used the Champagne Glimmer Paper from the holiday catalog (Which, by the way, is only available through January 2, 2013. So if you want to stock up, you better do it quick!), a 1/2" Circle Punch, Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots, and the Kraft Gift Boxes.
The inside is much easier than it looks. First, take apart your box and use a temporary adhesive to adhere it to some scrap cardstock (or something similar) with the inside of the box facing up.
Use spray paint to paint the inside of your box the desired color. Depending on the paint, you may need to use spray primer first so you get good coverage, and a nice, bright color. I only had to do this with the yellow one.
Allow the box to dry completely.
Using Whisper White Craft Ink, stamp your image on the inside lid of your box and heat set with the heat tool. Put your box back together with some Sticky Strip, and you’re done!
I’ll definitely be using this technique for much more than just Christmas gifts. I’d love to see your fun wrapping ideas. So, leave me a link down below so I can check it out.
Love this! Thanks for sharing!
Super cute idea!
