When a Paper Plate Just Isn't Fancy Enough!

I love to bake, so of course part of my gift-giving tradition is baked goods. Usually I’ll just go with a cute-ish paper plate and some plastic wrap for my neighbor gifts. This year, I’m feeling ambitious. I wanted prettier packaging for the tasty treats I’ll be sharing. Inspired by the gift box on page 105 of the annual catalog, I thought I’d try my hand at altering the Kraft Gift Boxes to make space for more than just a few cookies. After all, my cookies are that good.

I wanted to make sure I didn’t spend too much time figuring out what supplies to use, so I went with the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin’ Kit from the holiday catalog. The kit can be used for so much more than just scrapbook pages. It has the stickers and Designer Series Paper that made decorating the box a breeze.

Sticky Strip was a quick and easy tool for adding some sparkly Dazzling Diamonds to my paper bow.

I added a quick tag to the front of the box and the stickers from the Simply Scrappin’ Kit and voilà —beautiful!

I hope my neighbors enjoy their tasty and pretty Christmas treats this year. I know I’ll have fun creating them.
